Hope you had a fabulous Labor Day weekend. We had gorgeous weather (still quite hot) and a wonderful weekend. The weekend started off with my husband and I completing a 13 mile run. This was a shorter run this week, well, if you can call 13 miles short. In any event, 18-20 is on the calendar for this weekend. November 18th will be here before we know it. We then headed to the lake for the weekend with three of our four children. Lots of wakeboarding and skiing for the kids before we headed to see the Gators play football Saturday afternoon. It was a win for the Gators, but not a pretty win for sure.
Sunset at the lake
Monday we participated in a fundraser for HEAL (Healh Every Autistic Life) by paddling in a stand up paddle board event. We are used to paddling in the lake, so the our first time in the ocean was just a bit different :o) and challenging. We had a blast and the event was a total success. My husband is the President of HEAL which is a local non profit that raises and donates 100% of their proceeds to help sponsor and conduct numerous camps, educational programs, and parent support groups for children on the autism spectrum and their families. All the money raised helps those in Jacksonville. If you want to learn more about it, the website is www.healautismnow.org.
